Westlakes Zone Qualification Event 2022

The following is to be confirmed early in Term 1:

Students ages 8+ (in 2022) are invited to trial for the Westlakes Zone Swimming Carnival. Attendance is not compulsory and ONLY students that nominate for events will attend. The events on offer will be 50m (2 laps) 100m (4 laps) and 200m medley (8 laps). Qualification is dependent on meeting Zone Qualify times. Relays will be based on 50m freestyle times. Our school Swimming Carnival will be held later in the term and WILL NOT include Zone Swimming Events.

Students are required to come to school before the carnival so rolls can be marked. Students will leave school after 9.00am and around 12:00pm return to school for normal routine.

Full school uniform, swimmers, a towel, hat and sunscreen. The school’s sun safe policy advises students to wear a sun safe rash shirt.

Students need to bring a packed lunch and water bottle. There will be no purchases from the canteen.

A decision on spectators will be made closer to the date. However, we will keep parents updated via the school app (School Stream).
