Dear Parents,
Morisset Public School is currently undergoing a situational analysis. We need to discover the thoughts of our students, staff, parents and wider community in terms of how we can make our great school even better.
We are hoping to receive any positive, or negative, comments about how we are currently doing things, as well as any ideas or suggestions about how we can improve our school in the future.
We are currently conducting surveys over the phone to a random selection of parents but would like input from anyone who is willing to share their ideas/thoughts. We need people to be brutally honest so that we can gain a true understanding of our circumstance.
If you would like to help us in our endeavour to make our school even better, simply send an email with your thoughts/concerns/ideas/observations to mark.kyrwood@det.nsw.edu.au .
All information provided will be treated in strict confidence. I will ensure that your privacy is respected and no names will be linked to any of the information provided.
Some ideas already suggested:
- Improved communication to parents.
- Parent Information sessions/programs delivered in our new multi-purpose room. e.g NAPLAN, You Can Do it!
- Parent morning tea session after Friday assemblies in the new multi-purpose room.
- An Aboriginal outdoor learning space.
- More student work samples and photos in weekly newsletters and on the school's new website.
- Improved resources for learning programs.
- To be informed earlier about sport days/excursions etc.
We will use the information provided to guide our future planning.
We have a wonderful opportunity through the federal government's National Partnerships Program, as a Low SES school, to make a real difference for our current, and our future, students.
We hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you,
Mark Kyrwood
