13 Sep 2019
Our 2019 musical is fast approaching and students have been working hard with their class to create and perfect their performance for you. All students are expected to perform each performance. Tickets are still available from the front office.
Matinee performances - 12 noon on Tuesday September 24 and Wednesday 25.
Students are expected to come to school as normal on these days wearing full school uniform
Evening performances - 6pm on Wednesday September 25 and Thursday September 26.
Students need to arrive at school between 5:30-5:40pm each night with their makeup already applied. Their classroom teacher will meet them under the Assembly COLA. Parents are not allowed through the library or into classrooms. Please make sure your child has eaten dinner before the musical.
The evening performances should finish at approximately 8:30pm.
After the performance parents and friends will wait under the Assembly COLA until the class teacher brings students up, for collection.
Costumes
Each student’s costume needs to be brought to school before the dress rehearsal on Friday September 20, 2019. Please make sure your child’s costume is delivered to school in a sturdy bag (not a plastic bag) that is labelled clearly with their name and class.
Makeup for all performances
All students are asked to wear stage make up for all performances. This helps with lighting and recording. Suggested make up:
- Foundation – to cover the entire face
- Lip stick
- Blush on the cheeks.
- Dark Eye liner – tracing in the eye lash line on both upper and lower lid
Canteen
The P&C have advised that the canteen will be open during the matinee performances as well as the evening performances for members of the audience only. The canteen will not be open for lunch or lunch orders on Wednesday September 25.
Musical Recording
A copy of the musical will be available for a small donation. The final editing does take some time. When available, the community will be advised through the school newsletter, website and app.
Finally, I would like to thank all of our parents, friends and community for supporting us during the lead up to our musical. The school appreciates your efforts in preparing all of our students.
